Task at Hand

As an alternative to more expensive traditional cassette panels, SpeedDeck ACM (Aluminium Composite Material) cladding panels were specified in flat panel format for the Cooper Croydon BMW dealership — the cost-effective route to a stylish aesthetic complementing the automotive company’s prestigious look.

Working to a strict design style, the aluminium façade is integral to the dealership’s branding and must match other dealerships. Securing flat ACM panels using traditional cladding methods would have left the sleek aluminium finish with face fixings.

KingKrete Solution

KingPlast C100 , KingPlast R100 , and KingRep AC50 made it possible to create this look without any visible fixings. The biggest advantage of the revolutionary secret fix is that it simply cannot be seen — the developer’s vision of a smooth, clean exterior was realised without anything spoiling the view.

Following preparation and priming of all surfaces, the ACM panels were temporarily fixed in place using KingKrete’s specially made 3 mm thick double-sided tape while the adhesive system set. When cured, the panels were fully bonded to the structure.
